Join Us for Winter’s Day Out in 2025
Sight Loss Shropshire is thrilled to announce the return of our annual Winter’s Day Out, a day of celebration and community for visually impaired people across Shropshire, Telford, and Wrekin.
Winter’s Day Out promises to be a fun and lively event
Every year, around 200 guests join us for this fantastic event filled with entertainment, delicious food, and the chance to connect with others in a friendly and welcoming atmosphere.
- When: Wednesday, 29th January 2025
- Where: Shrewsbury Town Football Club, The Croud Meadow, Oteley Road, Shrewsbury SY2 6ST
- Time: 11:00am – 3:30pm
- Tickets: Tickets are free for visually impaired guests and their companions. We suggest a £5 donation per ticket upon arrival to help support our efforts.
What’s Happening: Enjoy a range of activities and entertainment, including:
- Lunch: A tasty meal provided for all guests.
- Entertainment: Stories from Val Littlehales, followed by live music from The Belle V’Ukes ukulele band.
- Equipment Swap: Bring along items like magnifiers, talking scales, or clocks to donate (please ensure they’re in good working order). It’s a great opportunity to share resources and find useful tools for everyday life.
- Tech Demos: Vision Aid, a leading supplier of video magnifiers and assistive technology, will showcase demo equipment for attendees to try.
