Sight Loss Shropshire and Optelec to host Assistive Technology Open Day in August
The event for sight loss and hearing impairment support
Optelec and Sight Loss Shropshire will be hosting VisionZone 2023, a free Open Day demonstrating assistive equipment covering all areas of sight loss and hearing impairment.
Exhibitors will be showcasing a range of products designed to help with making the most of life: to allow staying in touch with friends and relatives, to participate and succeed in education and the workplace as well continuing to enjoy hobbies.
Try out some of the latest aids and adaptations on the market for blind and partially sighted people, test hearing loss equipment and speak to local organisations that support hearing and sight loss.
Advice, support services and information will be available from Sight Loss Shropshire and our other co-exhibitors.
If you have a visual or hearing impairment, have a friend or family member with sight or hearing loss, or support people with sensory impairment in the community, why not come along and meet our friendly team and exhibitors.
The Mayor of Shrewsbury, Becky Wall, will be there to discuss her own personal story connected to sight loss and speak to local residents about making Shrewsbury more accessible.
