Making Technology work for you
Our new Accessible Tech Talks to Your Group service brings friendly, knowledgeable volunteers directly to local groups to share practical advice on using technology with sight loss or for anyone struggling to read screens.
Our volunteers demonstrate how everyday tech can be a powerful tool for independence, connection and confidence.
Each talk includes interactive demonstrations, giving attendees the chance to experience accessibility tools in action—such as screen readers, voice commands, magnification, and useful apps. There’s plenty of opportunity to ask questions, share experiences, and explore how to get the most from devices in a relaxed and supportive setting.
Whether it’s enlarging text, using voice assistants like Siri or Google Assistant, or exploring specialist apps, Accessible Tech Talks to Your Group is all about helping people make the most of their devices in ways that suit their needs.
Our talks cover
Sessions are informal, hands-on, and tailored to the needs of each group, with a focus on real-life uses and easy-to-understand guidance.
It’s a great opportunity to ask questions, share tips, and discover how technology can make life a little easier.
If your group would benefit from a free visit from our aceessible Tech Talks to your group team, we’d be delighted to hear from you.
