Free training to improve IT skills and use of accessible technology from the comfort of your home
Technology can help with daily living and support independence for people living with sight loss.
Sight Loss Shropshire is offering free one-to-one learning in IT and accessibility skills especially designed for visually impaired people in Shropshire.
This training is for visually impaired people who want to learn how to use a smartphone or tablet; how to get online to keep in touch with family and friends and how to use digital technology to assist with day to day tasks.
This is delivered in one-to-one sessions in your home or community hubs around Shropshire.
Here’s what you can expect to learn:
By the end of this course, you’ll feel empowered and able to use your device with confidence.
Digital skills training takes place in a relaxed atmosphere, with trainers offering tailored support in a friendly, welcoming, and supportive space.
Participants will either need their own suitable device or be prepared to acquire one during the course of the training. Advice and guidance on which devices are most suitable for your needs is available.
