A Sparkling Summer Evening: Drinks Reception at Hodnet Hall Gardens raises vital funds for Sight Loss Shropshire

We recently had the pleasure of hosting a summer drinks reception and charity fundraiser at the stunning Hodnet Hall Gardens Tea Rooms, set against the backdrop of beautiful gardens and a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

The event saw 120 guests come together to support a worthy cause, with highlights including inspiring speeches and a delightful musical performance by the Shropshire Army Cadets Band. The combination of good company, engaging conversations, and uplifting entertainment made for an exceptional experience.

We would like to extend our deepest gratitude to our generous patrons and supporters, especially WR Partners, and our wonderful hosts at Hodnet Hall Gardens. A special thank you also to everyone who donated prizes and contributed to the event’s success.

Although the rain made an appearance, it did little to dampen the spirits of our guests. We are thrilled to share that the event raised over £6,000, which will go directly towards funding the essential support services provided by Sight Loss Shropshire. This remarkable outcome is a testament to the incredible generosity and community spirit of everyone involved.

“I would like to extend our heartfelt thanks to our wonderful guests and supporters for making this event a great success, and very special thanks to Sir Algernon and Lady Jane Heber-Percy for hosting and wholeheartedly supporting this fundraiser,” said Diana Flint DL, Sight Loss Shropshire’s Chair of Trustees.

We are truly grateful for the support and look forward to hosting more events in the future that bring people and communities together for an impactful cause.
